The Rosa Luxemburg Foundation brings unique left-wing perspectives and knowledge to the table, reflecting our close alignment with specific political currents and historical experiences. In the East Asia region, our focus areas encompass social-ecological transformation, social justice, and fostering dialogue and exchange for a peaceful world, all of which hold significant relevance in the realm of development policy.

Another key emphasis lies in promoting dialogue and exchange for a harmonious world, with the aim of reducing tensions and conflicts between China and the 'West' in the region. Our offices in Beijing have diligently engaged with these themes in recent years, albeit from varying vantage points. While our work in China primarily centered around fostering dialogue and exchange, our collaborations with various state and party institutions, as well as academic establishments, have led to the co-creation and discussion of numerous projects related to 'Socialism' – representing a substantial convergence of core research and policy interests over the years.
